Top international players to compete at Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026

Bringing together 5,000 athletes from 81 countries and territories, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 is set to establish a new record as the largest tournament of its kind to date.

The competition will feature two main categories: national and individual events across five divisions: Open, Senior, Master, Kids and Junior.

This will be the first time in the history of the Pickleball World Cup that the tournament has been held in Asia.

Over the past few months, participating countries have been actively preparing for what is expected to be the largest and most competitive World Cup ever.

According to the organizers, the tournament will attract a number of prominent international pickleball players, including Roos Van Reek (the Netherlands); Jack Munro, Vivian Glozman and Bobbi Oshiro (the United States); Jack Wong (Hong Kong, China); Nicola Schoeman (Australia); Harsh Mehta (India); and Jay Devilliers (France).

The presence of players representing different countries and pickleball backgrounds is expected to bring a wide range of playing styles and elevate the tournament’s overall competitive standard.

Among the top players, Roos Van Reek is the No. 1-ranked player in the Netherlands. A multiple-time member of the national team and European champion, she currently sits atop the PPA Tour Australia rankings.

Her six Major League Pickleball Australia titles also demonstrate her versatility across different formats of the sport.

In early 2026, Roos Van Reek signed a contract with the APP Tour in the United States, one of the world's leading professional pickleball circuits.

The move marked a significant step in her career, giving her the opportunity to compete in a more demanding environment and face off against the world's top players.

At the Asia Open 2026, Van Reek did more than simply win. She dominated the competition.

From women's singles and women's doubles to mixed doubles, she showcased a well-rounded technical game, remarkable consistency, and impressive composure in decisive moments.

Opportunities for emerging talents

Alongside some of the world's biggest names, Vietnam’s leading players will also compete at the tournament.

The Vietnamese squad for the Open category includes Do Minh Quan, Ly Hoang Nam, Quang Duong, Phuc Huynh, Truong Vinh Hien, Trinh Linh Giang, Sophia Huynh Tran, and Trang Huynh.

Notably, at the 2025 PPA Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Cup, Phuc Huynh and Truong Vinh Hien overcame a number of international opponents to reach the men's singles final, where Phuc Huynh claimed the championship title.

Meanwhile, Quang Duong will compete in Da Nang for the first time. He is expected to be one of the tournament's most anticipated attractions.

Often described as a pickleball prodigy, he has demonstrated his ability and earned a series of impressive results at major competitions.

With a squad featuring several experienced players, Vietnam's national team is expected to make its mark on the international stage on home soil.

In addition to the Open category, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 has drawn attention for its Senior, Master, Kids, and Junior divisions.

The expanded format is designed to give athletes of different generations, skill levels and experience the opportunity to represent their countries and compete on the same international sporting stage.

The participation of young athletes is one of the notable highlights of the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026.

Beyond competing for results, the tournament will provide young Vietnamese players with an opportunity to gain experience, adapt to the pressure of international competition, and gradually mature on a bigger stage.

In the Junior division, Le Xuan Duc has been named captain of the Vietnamese team.

The squad also includes Tong Nhat Minh, Pham Hoai Anh, Bao Duong, Khang Tran, Sophia Phuong Anh, Dan Linh Huong and Jolie Lam.

Notably, Patrick Kawka, an MLP coach, will join the coaching staff as a technical coach and work alongside Vietnam's young talents throughout the tournament.

Vietnam’s Kids team comprises Tran Duc Lam, Nguyen Gia Hung, Lai Minh Hieu, Le Tien Dung, Dang Gia Huy, Tran Ha My, Nguyen Ha My and Pham Ngoc Ha Vy.
