DNO - Artificial intelligence (AI) is expanding beyond urban centers and being applied in fields, nurseries, farms, and production cooperatives in the countryside. Farmers are using smart tools to address challenges related to manpower, distance, and management capacity.
In recent years, the Phu Binh Cooperative in Tam Xuan Commune has become a typical example in digital transformation in rural areas by proactively applying AI to almost every stage of production and business operations.
Operated largely by a young workforce, the Cooperative features three specialized divisions called business, distribution, and farming. Each division applies AI in ways suited to its tasks.
In particular, the Business Division uses AI to create social media posts, produce promotional videos, design visuals, and run marketing campaigns. Chatbots support customer service by classifying clients according to needs and levels of interest.
Notably, the cooperative also provides an AI assistant to help customers quickly identify common poultry diseases and find timely solutions without waiting for expert consultation.
In the Distribution Division, AI streamlines delivery processes, monitors inventory and gives warnings on unusual orders.
On the farm side, AI is applied to staff training, and to record and analyze data on animal growth, health, and environmental conditions.
Meanwhile, the Echogreen Co., Ltd., based in Huong Tra Ward, is pursuing a similar model. Specializing in eco-friendly products, Echogreen applies AI in packaging design, content creation, communication planning, market trend analysis, and growth strategy development.
Thanks to the AI application, the company is now more proactive in brand positioning and identifying new customer segments in rural markets, instead of relying on outdated data or subjective assessments.
In other rural areas citywide, AI is being used as a supportive tool to replace tasks once heavily dependent on manual labor or traditional management. From bookkeeping, labeling, packaging, and product photography to market research and customer response, AI and automation tools now provide strong support.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Trung, Head of the Administration Department at Echogreen, AI does not diminish human creativity or thinking. On the contrary, it helps employees save time on repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on strategic planning and product innovation.
