DNO - On August 28, global telecommunications and infrastructure group IPTP Networks launched the AIDC DeCenter project at the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park.
This event marked a milestone in the city’s ambition to become a leading hub for advanced technology in Central Vietnam.
Approved by the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Authority on August 14, the project has a registered investment of $20 million in the first stage, with a total commitment of approximately $200 million.
Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, and the facility is scheduled to be operational by late 2027.
The AIDC DeCenter will be among the first AI-Ready data centers in Vietnam, designed to Tier 3+/Tier 4 Uptime standards.
Covering 10,000 m2 across two floors, the center will accommodate up to 1,000 racks with a minimum power capacity of 10MW.
It also aims to secure global certifications such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, ensuring uptime of at least 99.982%.
Strategically, the project will provide the backbone for high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain applications and cloud services.
It is expected to strengthen Da Nang’s digital infrastructure, support enterprises in accelerating digital transformation, and attract high-value investment to the city.
Also, the project promises to generate revenue, spur ancillary services, and elevate Da Nang’s global profile as a trusted technology destination.
At the launch, AIDC DeCenter signed cooperation agreements with key partners including VNPT, NetNam, investment fund WeAngles, and Vietcombank.
Da Nang authorities reaffirmed their commitment to facilitating the project, emphasizing its role as a strategic driver for sustainable economic growth and Vietnam’s modernization agenda.
