DNO - Work recently began on the project to build a new cargo terminal at Da Nang International Airport with a total investment of VND 631 billion.
This is one of the city’s key projects to celebrate the National Day September 2 and the forthcoming 23rd Congress of the Da Nang Party Committee.
Approved by the municipal People's Committee under Decision No. 1697/QD-UBND dated June 3, 2025, the project aims to meet the growing demand for cargo transport in the Central and Central Highlands regions, particularly in Da Nang.
It also plays a vital role in enhancing the regions’ air logistics capacity, thereby contributing to boosting economic growth and promoting import and export activities by air.
Invested by the Airports corporation of Vietnam, the project is part of the Da Nang International Airport’s infrastructure upgrade plan, the expansion of passenger terminal T1, and the development of the airport’s northern area.
The project will cover an area of over 24,600m², of which 14,206m² will be earmarked for the terminal building, and the remainder for loading and unloading areas and parking lots.
The construction period is expected to be from the fourth quarter of 2025 to the fourth quarter of 2026.
Designed with the handling capacity of 100,000 tons of cargo per year, the new cargo terminal at Da Nang International Airport will help increase the capacity to handle goods, promote import and export activities, and connect Da Nang's economy with domestic and foreign markets.
