Three years ago, Hoang Ngoc Minh left his job as an engineer at a hydropower plant in the Central Highlands and returned to his hometown in former Dai Hoa Commune, currently known as Hamlet No. 2, Dai Loc Commune, Da Nang to start a business.

Inspired by a grape farm in the North, he began researching grape cultivation techniques suitable for the harsh Central Vietnam climate through online resources and hands-on learning.

Initially, he planted 50 peony grapevines on former land for jackfruit and banana. After 18 months, the grapevines produced limited yields due to his lack of experience.

Refusing to give up, Minh renewed his methods. To improve quality, he used eco-friendly paper bags to cover each cluster, pruned excess bunches to concentrate nutrients, and effectively protected the grapes from pests, birds, and weather damage.

After about three months of fruiting, the grapes ripened for harvest. His current vineyard yields more than 200 kilograms, sold at VND 150,000 - VND 200,000 per kilogram, generating nearly VND 40 million.

Another garden of seedless black grapes, cultivated for over two years, has also produced its first crop.

The vineyard, with its heavy clusters of grapes, has attracted a large number of visitors and locals who come to take photos and enjoy grapes in the garden.

Mr. Minh said that he only used organic biological fertilizers for root fertilization, and biological products to prevent pests for plants. He also focused on isolating the time of using biological products to ensure safety for users.

Mr. Minh’s clean grape-growing model comes not only from his passion for farming but also from his commitment to producing safe, high-quality, and sustainable agricultural products.

In the coming time, he plans to lease more land to cultivate popular varieties including South Korean milk grapes.
