International conference seeks solutions in biology - agriculture

DNO - The 2nd edition of the International Conference on Biology - Agriculture (CBA) in 2025 took place at the University of Education and Science - the University of Da Nang on Thursday.

The event attracted over 300 delegates from more than 30 universities, research institutes, management agencies and high-tech enterprises. Among them were more than 40 international delegates from five Asian countries.

This year's conference, themed "Sustainable development in the context of digital transformation", was co-organized by 11 universities and research institutions at both home and abroad.

The event served as a prestigious scientific forum for researchers, lecturers, students and enterprises to exchange and share the latest research results in the fields of biology and agriculture.

At the same time, it offered the good opportunity for all parties to demonstrate their shared responsibility in developing smart agriculture and exploiting natural resources in a reasonable and sustainable manner.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vo Van Minh, Rector of the University of Education and Science, said that this year's conference concentrated on key research areas such as genetics and molecular biology; bioinformatics and genomics in agriculture; plant science, medicinal biotechnology and smart farming systems; and environmental biotechnology and circular agriculture.

These were urgent scientific issues, and practical concerns for countries in the region and around the world, he noted.

Within the framework of the conference, the participating units and enterprises visited a science and technology exhibition displaying new products and solutions.

The exhibition highlighted the close cooperation between schools and enterprises, acting as a bridge to bring research results from laboratories to production and daily life.
