Da Nang’s CPI rises by 5.82% year-on-year in Sept.

DNO - Da Nang’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 0.87% month-on-month in September, 5.82% year-on-year and 4.54% compared to December 2025, according to a report by the municipal Statistics Office.

During the month, increases were recorded in 8 out of 11 major groups of goods and services. Among these, the transport group saw the most notable rise at 4.45%, spurred by a 9.23% surge in petrol prices and a 4.54% increase in diesel prices.

The education group edged up 1.72%, while housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials inched up 0.75%. Prices of food and catering services went up 0.38%.

Meanwhile, three groups recorded price declines. In particular, information and communications fell by 0.06%, culture, entertainment and tourism dropped by 0.18%, and household equipment and appliances decreased by 0.52%.

In the first nine months of 2026, Da Nang’s CPI increased 4.95% compared with the same period in 2025.

Specifically, housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials recorded the highest increase at 8.85%, followed by transport at 7.39% and food and catering services at 4.47%.

Over the same period, the gold price index climbed 44.89%, while the US dollar price index rose by 1.17% compared with the 2025 average.
