Da Nang promotes investment cooperation with UNEEDC Global Fund

At the meeting, Permanent Deputy Secretary Nguyen Khac Toan affirmed that the presence of the fund and the business delegation demonstrated the trust and partnership of investors to Da Nang’s development vision.

He noted that under its socio-economic development strategy for the 2025 - 2030 period, Da Nang was committed to becoming a pioneering locality in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

The city also aimed to develop into a major hub for culture, education and specialized healthcare, as well as an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign investors.

In line with resolutions issued by the Party Central Committee and the municipal Party Committee, Da Nang has been focusing on achieving rapid and sustainable growth through administrative reform, building a facilitating government, and fostering a transparent investment environment, he noted.

Highly appreciating the potential and network of the UNEEDC Global Fund, the city leader underlined that the areas of interest to the delegation, such as urban infrastructure development, digital transformation, education, and training high-quality human resources, were well aligned with Da Nang’s development priorities.

The local authorities pledged to accompany investors and create the most favorable conditions for cooperative projects to be implemented transparently and effectively.

The Permanent Deputy Secretary assigned relevant agencies to prepare the necessary data and documentation for follow-up discussions with the business delegation, with a view to identifying specific cooperation opportunities and developing new partnership models.

On behalf of the UNEEDC Global Fund, Ms. Truong Thi Ny highly praised Da Nang’s vision and determination to build a smart and livable city.

She unveiled that the fund was particularly interested in the city's priority sectors, including innovation, the green economy, logistics, technology and high-quality tourism.

With its extensive international network, UNEEDC Global Fund hoped to become a strategic partner of Da Nang, contributing to investment attraction and enhancing the competitiveness of the local business community, she emphasized.
