Da Nang completes elimination of 12,298 dilapidated houses

Of these, 11,939 have been completed and handed over, while remaining 359 are underway and committed to be completed before August 31.

The figures were released at a conference on Monday to review the city’s programme to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the 2023 - 2025 period.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee cum Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highlighted the profound political and social significance of the city’s abovementioned programme.

He added the programme aimed to mark the 80^th anniversary of the National Day, and the 50^th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

Also at the event, 30 groups and 26 individuals were awarded with Certificates of Merit from Chairman of the municipal People's Committee in recognition of their great contributions to the programme.
