DNO - Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung hosted a meeting on Thursday with representatives from Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina), led by Mr. Zhu Guojin, Chairman of Beijing Engineering Corporation Limited under the corporation.

Welcoming the delegation, Chairman Hung reaffirmed that Da Nang always facilitated foreign investors to explore business and investment opportunities in the city.
He voiced his hope that PowerChina would share specific proposals and development orientations for both sides to jointly study and promote potential areas of cooperation in the coming time.
At the meeting, representatives from PowerChina proposed cooperation with Da Nang in three key sectors.
In particular, in the energy sector, the Chinese group wished to participate in the planning stage to explore investment opportunities and develop potential projects in the future.
For transportation infrastructure, PowerChina expressed interest in such projects as the Da Nang International Airport - Hoi An railway line, river crossing corridors, and airport connectivity infrastructure, based on its experience in implementing many large-scale projects across Europe and Asia.

In environmental improvement, particularly water environment management, the company proposed working with local agencies on workforce training, technical support, and potential investment in environmental infrastructure projects.
Acknowledging PowerChina’s proposals, the city leader noted that these were also among Da Nang's development priorities.
Mr. Hung assigned also relevant agencies to further study the proposed areas of cooperation for detailed discussions in the near future.
