DNO - In addition to its familiar tourism products, Da Nang is being refreshed with a wide range of large-scale cultural, artistic and sporting events, alongside city-wide experiential spaces, during the 5-day break for the National Day (September 2).

Besides its signature attractions, Da Nang’s tourism appeal is enhanced during this year’s National Day holiday by a host of new activities from day to night.
A major highlight is the Pickleball World Cup 2026 which will take place from August 30 to September 6 at the Tien Son Sports Arena.
The event is expected to attract around 5,000 athletes from 81 countries and territories and will coincide with the peak of the holiday period.
The event will combine sports, music and a World Market featuring more than 200 booths. In this way, the sporting tournament will be transformed into an entertainment and experiential space for athletes, fans and tourists alike.
From August 26 to September 15, the exhibition “Da Nang Urban Chronicles” at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum offers viewers a glimpse into the city’s formation, development and transformation, expressed through the language of art.
Continuing the cultural journey, the Hoi An Creative Week 2026, themed “A Journey to Touch Heritage, Touch Creativity”, is held for the first time at the Hoai River Square from August 28 to September 2.
It serves as a meeting point where heritage values and contemporary creativity converge.
During the same period, the Hoi An Memories Island will stage the Hoi An Memories show in its “Conical Hat Flag” version. Its aim is to offer a fresh experience for visitors seeking to explore local culture through performing arts.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, four museums will offer free admission during the National Day holiday.
They are the Da Nang Museum, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, the Da Nang Museum - Branch 2 in Ban Thach Ward, and the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture.
The initiative provides additional options for families and travelers interested in exploring the city’s history and cultural heritage.
The midland and highland areas to the west are also joining the holiday tourism wave.
From August 29 to 31, the Loc Yen - Thanh Binh Village Festival in Thanh Binh Commune, themed “Loc Yen - A Happy Countryside”, invites visitors to recharge in the peaceful surroundings of the ancient village.

Meanwhile, the Cong Troi Dong Giang (Dong Giang Heaven's Gate) Ecotourism Area offers promotional offers and a series of cultural and artistic activities under the theme “Co Tu Village Festival - Celebrating Independence Day”.
To stimulate tourism demand, destinations across the city have also designed a variety of special experiences.
Included are “Back-to-School Season Promotions” running through September 6 at the Mikazuki Water Park; the “Celebrating National Day - Celebrating the New Co Tu Rice Season” event at the Toom Sara Village; and the “Countryside Market - Welcome the Holiday” program from August 29 to 31 at the Koi Resort & Spa Hoi An.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, expanding the tourism space creates greater room for localities to stimulate demand.
As visitor flows are distributed more widely, tourism benefits will no longer be concentrated primarily in coastal areas or the city center.
Community festivals and ecotourism destinations will have more opportunities to reach visitors, helping drive the development of longer itineraries.
It is clear that Da Nang’s tourism vibrancy is not limited to a succession of events. It is also being driven by an expanding map of experiences, where visitors can quickly shift between the sea and mountains, urban areas and rural villages.
According to data recently released by Booking.com, one of the world’s leading online travel platforms, Da Nang ranked first among the top 10 domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese travelers for the 2026 National Day holiday.
The data was analyzed from searches conducted between June 1 and July 30, 2026, for trips with check-in dates from August 29 to September 6, 2026.
