DNO - The Republic of Korea (RoK) is currently one of Da Nang’s key economic, trade and investment partners, with a growing number of projects across various sectors.

Korean businesses are also strengthening links with international corporations and domestic manufacturers, aimed at building an interconnected business ecosystem in the city.

The RoK is currently one of Vietnam’s and Da Nang’s important economic, trade and investment partners.

As of August 2026, Da Nang had 314 projects funded by Korean businesses, with total registered investment capital of nearly US$1.66 billion.

At the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, a number of major projects by leading Korean corporations are being developed, including automotive parts manufacturing by CTR, textile and garment supporting industries by Panko, and magnetic materials production by SGI.

According to the Management Board of the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, alongside expanding production, Korean businesses are actively building partnerships with international corporations as well as domestic manufacturers, supporting-industry enterprises, logistics providers and service companies to establish integrated value chains.

This model helps attract an entire ecosystem of businesses, ranging from raw material, component and spare-parts manufacturers to logistics providers, technical service companies and other production-supporting activities.

Recently, the Da Nang Semiconductor and AI Center for Research and Training (DSAC) has signed cooperation agreements with strategic Korean organizations and businesses in the science and technology sector.

The move has provided an important foundation for the city to develop high-value-added industries such as semiconductor and chip technology, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics and automation, alongside investment in R&D infrastructure, training and technology testing.

To continue attracting foreign investment, including from the RoK, Da Nang is improving its investment environment, supporting business connections and actively working with companies throughout the process of exploring investment opportunities, implementing projects and expanding operations.

At the same time, the city is investing in strategic transport infrastructure to facilitate business and production activities.

These efforts are expected to provide an important foundation for expanding the city’s economic scale and promoting sustainable double-digit economic growth.
