DNO - As part of the HorecFex Vietnam 2025, the signing ceremony of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Tourism Promotion Center under the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and online travel agents (OTAs), took place on Wednesday.
Under the deals, the Tourism Promotion Center and OTAs will work together on three major aspects.
In particular, they will focus on diversifying local products on digital platforms beyond accommodation and transportation; developing a long-term communication plan associated with the city's annual event schedule such as DIFF, Enjoy Da Nang, and International Marathon; and launching promotion campaigns with KOLs, travel bloggers, game shows, vlogs and online series to break through in coverage among young travellers.
According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 2024 alone, the number of searches and bookings for services in the city via OTAs increased by 30-35%, greatly contributing to expanding the market and luring more international visitors.
In the first 7 months of 2025, Da Nang welcomed 4.2 million international guests and 6.5 million domestic tourists.
Between August 29 and September 2, the city is expected to receive a daily average of 145 flights, a rise of 26.5% over the same period.
This growth is associated with changes in travel behavior, in which OTA platforms such as Traveloka, Klook and Booking.com have become effective channels to help Da Nang reach and attract tourists.
