DNO - A famtrip delegation from the Philippines surveyed some of Da Nang’s tourism products from August 18 to 22.
The delegation consisted of more than 15 KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and bloggers who are influential on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
Notable among them were Koji Arsua (When in Manila), Crystha Shayne (Hello Shayne), Alvin & Ms. Monica (The Cenzons), Melo Villareal (Out of Town Travel Vlog), and Reylyn Ann Remegio (Travelokaloka Girl).
During the 5-day/4-night journey themed "New Da Nang - New Experiences", the group of KOLs and bloggers had the opportunity to discover diverse aspects of the city’s tourism sector.
In particular, they explored the pristine natural beauty of the Son Tra Peninsula, examined the cultural and historical values at the Museum of Cham Sculpture and Marble Mountains, and experienced the heritage sites of Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary.
Additionally, visits to the Bay Mau Nipa Palm Forest, the Thanh Ha Pottery Village, and the Tra Que Vegetable Village in Hoi An gave the visitors a genuine feeling about the connection between traditional culture and sustainable green lifestyle in Da Nang.
The famtrip offered the participants unique and authentic perspectives on Da Nang tourism, thereby spreading strongly to the Philippine tourist community - a potential market in the Southeast Asia region.
At the same time, it was an opportunity to strengthen communication cooperation with Philippine airlines, travel companies and media agencies.
In 2024 alone, Da Nang welcomed over 65,000 Filipino visitors. In the first 5 months of 2025, more than 49,000 Filipino travellers arrived in Da Nang, 2.26 times higher than the same period in 2024.
Thanks to the operation of direct flights from Manila to Da Nang, now operated three times a week by both Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines, the Philippine tourist market is set to soar to new heights in the coming time.
