Da Nang launches new tourism passports highlighting food, heritage and green travel

DNO - Travellers heading to Da Nang in Central Vietnam between August and October can now get their hands on one of three special tourism brand passports - ‘Food Tour’, ‘Heritage Tour’ and ‘Green Tour’ - with 60,000 paper and online copies made available as part of a major promotional drive.

Following the success of the Da Nang Food Tour Passport launched in 2024, the city will issue the Da Nang Heritage Tour Passport and the Da Nang Green Tour Passport starting September 1, 2025, valid until March 31, 2026

Each passport, available in both 30,000 printed and 30,000 digital editions, offers unique benefits. Holders are granted free entry to the Hoi An Memories Park and can collect stamps from more than 100 participating establishments, ranging from restaurants, bars, and museums to heritage sites, ecological destinations, and green accommodations.

Collected stamps can be redeemed for discounts, gifts, or perks such as cashless payments with VNPAY or rides with GreenSM and Grab.

Printed passports can be collected at Da Nang International Airport, visitor centers, or during major cultural events, while the online version is accessible via the TripC Da Nang mobile app.

This initiative underscores Da Nang’s strategy to diversify its tourism products, encourage eco-friendly travel, and strengthen its reputation as a leading destination in Southeast Asia.

Five key promotional programmes, Enjoy Da Nang, Diverse Experience - Tourism Passports, Event and Festival Tour, I Love Da Nang, and MICE and Wedding Tour, are central to the city’s push to welcome 17.3 million tourists in 2025 with an estimated revenue of 30 trillion VND (1.2 billion USD) in 2025.

Outstandingly, about 10,000 vouchers from the ‘I Love Da Nang’ programme area available for visitors who have visited the city since 2020 and have returned. More than 500 travel agencies and tourism service businesses across the city have offered their promotions to lure tourists to the city during the last five months of 2025.
