DNO - Da Nang is promoting the socialization of tourism, and taking advantage of social resources to invest in festivals, events and tourism promotion programs. These efforts aim to make the city a favorite destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) is a typical model, showcasing close cooperation between local authorities and socialized investment.
Since its launch in 2008, the festival has been held 13 times, with Sun Group accompanying the city for six of those years. This partnership not only lifted the financial burden of hundreds of billions of VND each season but also shared responsibilities from conceptualization to execution.
Established in 2020, the Da Nang Tourism Development Promotion Fund, the first socialized fund model in Vietnam, plays an important role in effectively mobilizing resources from the business community for tourism promotion activities, especially during the challenging post-COVID-19 recovery period.
Recently, the Da Nang Event Destination Association (DECA) under the Fund has been officially launched. It brings together large enterprises in event organization, travel, MICE, hospitality, convention centers and related services in Da Nang and Quang Nam. Members pledge to closely cooperate to build and enhance a high-quality, professional MICE service ecosystem.
In mid-August, Viet AnGroup JSC sent a proposal to the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward and related agencies to invest in a complex of Cultural - Culinary - Community Tourism Park combined with Hoa Xuan Inland Waterway Wharf along Ton That Duong Ky riverside street.
Regarding the 2025 plan, Da Nang is calling on businesses and individuals to organize regular national and international festivals, develop waterway tourism, and create new products such as light and music festivals.
At the same time, the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to implement support policies for enterprises, while proposing additional measures aligned with reality to attract more domestic and international travel companies to bring visitors to the city.
