DNO - As the grand finale of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 draws near on the evening of July 12, hotels citywide are reporting near-full occupancy, with most beachfront and riverside properties already fully booked.
Hotels along prime locations such as Bach Dang and Tran Hung Dao busy streets have reached capacity, with many rooms reserved weeks in advance.
Melia Vinpearl Danang Riverfront, located near the fireworks site, has seen occupancy rates of 80 - 90% for the final night of DIFF 2025, with 70–80% of guests booking early to secure rooms with premium views.
In a similar vein, Hadana Boutique Hotel and Hai An RiverFront Hotel have also reported occupancy rates exceeding 90%.
Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, the General Manager of Hadana Boutique Hotel, noted a significant rise in both domestic and international visitors during DIFF.
“This reflects the city’s strategic efforts to reconnect with key markets and diversify its tourism offerings,” she said.
Pham Xuan Thang, the Executive Director of Hai An RiverFront, emphasized the need for Da Nang to maintain a year-round calendar of cultural events to extend visitor stays.
Meanwhile, Furama Resort and other 5-star properties have been fully booked for the final night since early June.
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the welcomed around 1.17 million visitors during the DIFF’s qualifying rounds (May 31 - June 30), a 10.3% increase year-on-year.
The first five fireworks nights attracted nearly 400,000 spectators, equivalent to the total attendance of last year’s entire festival.
Citywide room occupancy for the final night of DIFF 2025 is estimated at 95%, the highest of all festival nights, with tourist cruises also nearing full capacity.
In June alone, tourism-related revenues reached approximately VND 3,869 billion (up 22% year-on-year)
In the first half of 2025, Da Nang hosted 5.8 million visitors, including 2.6 million international arrivals, a strong affirmation of the city's rising stature as a vibrant festival destination in Asia.
