DNO - The showcase space “Da Nang - Welcoming a New Era” opened on Thursday in Ha Noi as part of the national exhibition themed “80-Year Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness”.
Attending the event were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh and Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
The Da Nang showcase space features a striking entrance gate inspired by the city’s iconic Dragon Bridge, symbolizing the dynamism, innovation, and far-reaching aspirations of the coastal city.
In addition, the exhibition booth integrates modern technologies such as holofan models and real-time interactive touchscreens, offering visitors an immersive experience.
This initiative also reflects Da Nang’s commitment to innovation and its ambition to lead in technology, aligned with its vision of becoming a smart city and a national hub for innovation and startups.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi emphasized the exhibition booth showcased a comprehensive journey of the city’s development from the rich cultural and historical heritage of Quang Nam - Da Nang to its outstanding socio-economic achievements over nearly three decades as a centrally governed city.
"Through this exhibition, we wish to introduce to domestic and international friends the image of a dynamic, creative Da Nang that takes lead in technology while preserving cultural identity and heritage. Da Nang is ready to enter a new phase of development with the aspiration to become a center of innovation, science, and technology, as well as one of the most livable destinations in the region” she noted.
The national exhibition “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness” is open free to the public from August 28 to September 5 at the Vietnam National Exhibition Center in Ha Noi.
The event is a centerpiece in the series of national celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
