DNO - An art and culture exhibition titled “Kieu Kieu Giai Nhan” (Kieu Reimagined) in Da Nang brings together many multimedia artists at both home and abroad, drawing much attention from art and culture lovers.
On display at the exhibition are over 30 works of 20 art forms ranging from installation art, traditional painting, silkscreen printing to virtual reality interaction, and kinetic sculpture, all blending to create a surprising visual "feast".
Notably, none of the artworks on display were created by using artificial intelligence (AI). This deliberate choice aims to honour the direct creativity of the artists and preserves the unique personal imprint in each piece.
Aside from the main displays, the exhibition features 10 free experiential activities such as agarwood workshops, watercolor painting, woodcut printing, Kieu fortune reading, and ‘Lay Kieu’.
These activities not only offer exciting experiences for the public but also contribute to affirming the vitality of national cultural values in contemporary life.
Lasting until September 21, the exhibition opens daily between 9:00 am to 10:00 pm at the Xi-Nê Bistro & Jazz, 82 Tran Phu.
The event is the result of collaboration among the young creative group “Da Nang Tui”, British translator Timothy Allen, and the British Council - the event’s main sponsor.
The exhibition is held to commemorate the 205th anniversary of the death of the Great Poet Nguyen Du (1820 - 2025). It also serves as a tribute to his immortal literary heritage and a testament to the everlasting vitality of The Tale of Kieu in Vietnam’s cultural life.
