Held across three days, the summit opens with an exclusive ASAFA Members' Day (May 6), followed by two open program days exploring Vietnam's SAF landscape in depth.

The event is jointly organized by the Asia Sustainable Aviation Fuel Association (ASAFA), the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center (DISSC) and Veritas Consulting,

It marks the first international forum in Vietnam dedicated to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), a key solution in the global aviation industry’s transition toward net-zero emissions.

Bringing together senior stakeholders across airlines, fuel producers, technology providers, investors, policymakers and industry experts, IPS Vietnam 2026 aims to foster dialogue on policy frameworks, develop SAF ecosystems, and accelerate cross-border cooperation in clean energy innovation.

Discussions at the summit focus on several strategic pillars, including Vietnam’s SAF development roadmap, policy mechanisms for energy transition, investment frameworks for sustainable energy and the country’s potential role in the regional SAF value chain.

A key emphasis is also placed on linking stakeholders across energy, logistics, finance, and technology sectors to build a comprehensive innovation ecosystem.

The forum is designed not only as a policy dialogue platform but also as a practical space for collaboration, where memoranda of understanding (MOUs) are expected to be signed to promote innovation and investment in sustainable aviation fuel.

Speaking at the event, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu reaffirmed the city’s long-term development orientation.

He emphasized Da Nang’s commitment to building an ecological and smart urban model, promoting green and circular economy principles, and strengthening global integration through innovation-driven growth.

He also highlighted that participation in global energy transition initiatives, particularly in aviation, one of the most carbon-intensive sectors, is essential for the city’s sustainable future.

The city government has pledged to create favourable investment conditions, support international events, and actively collaborate with partners to implement practical projects aligned with its green development strategy.

With initiatives like IPS Vietnam 2026, Da Nang is steadily advancing its vision of becoming not only a tourism and logistics hub, but also a leading destination for green innovation and sustainable development in Southeast Asia.
