DNO - Expanding international air connectivity, organizing technology and tourism forums, and hosting tourism events are among the new approaches Da Nang’s tourism sector is adopting to attract more international visitors.

According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, Thai Airways is expected to launch a direct Bangkok - Da Nang route from early December, with two round-trip flights per day.
Earlier, from July 1, Vietnam Airlines increased the frequency of its direct flights from Da Nang to Seoul, South Korea, to 14 flights per week; Tokyo, Japan, to 11 flights per week; and Osaka, Japan, to five flights per week. The aim is to meet growing travel demand of tourists.
Da Nang now has 28 air routes, including seven domestic routes and 21 regular international routes, according to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center.
In addition to expanding air connectivity, the city is intensifying promotion activities to enhance visitor connections and experiences.
A highlight is the 2026 Da Nang International Tourism Festival (DITF) which is scheduled to take place from October 16 - 19.
The event will feature several new elements, including experiential programs designed for international visitors and buyers.
Under the orientation of the Da Nang Tourism Association, DITF is expected to gradually develop into an annual tourism event for buyers and sellers from destinations across Vietnam in the coming years.
This will contribute to promoting Vietnam’s image, strengthening connections among localities, businesses and international partners, and enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s tourism industry in the global market.

Alongside market promotion, tourism businesses are also laying emphasis on improving service quality.
This commitment is clearly demonstrated through HORECFEX Vietnam 2026, the country's leading annual exhibition and forum dedicated to technological innovation in hospitality and tourism.
Slated for August 20 and 21 in Da Nang, this year’s event will focus on artificial intelligence, hotel management, revenue optimization, sustainable development and human resources.
Its goal is to showcase technology, as well as to help businesses access effective solutions to improve customer experiences.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of HORECFEX Vietnam, said the competitiveness of the service industry in the new era will depend on its ability to combine technology with the quality of human service.
Technology could help businesses serve customers faster and gain deeper insights into their needs, but the industry’s core value remained the emotions, connections and memorable experiences created by people, he added.
All these steps show that the city is gradually shifting from competing on scale to competing on the quality of visitor experiences, thereby strengthening its competitiveness in a new phase of development.
