Starting July 1, 2026, the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will operate additional flights on these key international routes, offering travellers greater flexibility while strengthening Da Nang’s role as an emerging aviation gateway in Central Vietnam.

Under the new schedule, direct flights between Da Nang and Seoul (Incheon) will increase to 14 flights per week, providing twice-daily connectivity between the two cities. Services to Tokyo (Narita) will rise to 11 weekly flights, while the Da Nang-Osaka (Kansai) route will be operated five times a week.

The expanded schedule comes as demand for travel between Vietnam and Northeast Asia continues to grow, driven by tourism, business exchanges and cultural connections.

South Korea and Japan remain among the largest international visitor source markets for Da Nang.

Meanwhile, the coastal central city is also attracting increasing numbers of Vietnamese travellers seeking convenient access to the region’s vibrant urban destinations.

For leisure travellers, the additional flights provide greater flexibility in planning holidays, whether exploring Seoul’s dynamic neighbourhoods and renowned culinary scene or discovering Japan’s rich cultural heritage, seasonal festivals and iconic attractions.

More frequent departures also make it easier to customize travel itineraries and optimize connections.

Beyond improving convenience for passengers, the expanded network is expected to further enhance Da Nang’s international accessibility, supporting tourism growth and reinforcing its position as one of Vietnam’s leading international destinations.

Better air connectivity also creates new opportunities for business travel, investment exchanges and people-to-people links between Vietnam and Northeast Asia as a whole.

The move reflects Vietnam Airlines’ continued efforts to expand its international network and respond to rising passenger demand with more travel options and greater scheduling flexibility.

As international travel continues to recover and diversify, stronger direct air links are becoming an increasingly important factor in destination competitiveness.

By increasing flight frequencies from Da Nang to Seoul, Tokyo and Osaka, Vietnam Airlines is making it easier than ever for travelers to experience some of Northeast Asia’s most sought-after destinations while bringing the region closer to Central Vietnam.

With more flights, greater flexibility and seamless direct connections, travelers now have even more reasons to make Da Nang the starting point for their next journey to Northeast Asia.
