DNO - In the context of increasingly fierce competition in tourism industry and tourists’ growing demands for personalized experiences, Da Nang is actively boosting digital transformation in tourism as a key strategy to enhance its competitiveness and promote sustainable development.

Specifically, Da Nang has introduced AI-integrated automatic audio guide services (Auto Guide) on cyclo tours. Visitors can select their preferred language (Vietnamese, English, South Korean, Chinese, Japanese, etc.), and the system automatically provides audio commentary at tourist attractions.
An added feature allows passengers to interact with an integrated AI chatbot within the app, enabling them to ask questions and learn more about the places they are visiting.
In addition, several museums are also gradually digitizing artifacts, bringing many convenient experiences to visitors.
In particular, the Da Nang Museum has launched a project to develop a digital heritage map, creating 2D and 3D versions of all cultural relics and heritage sites citywide. Each artifact is embedded with an electronic chip, allowing visitors to scan and look up in-depth information about the artifact.
Recently, during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025, for the first time, augmented reality (AR) technology was applied, creating vivid and multi-dimensional fireworks effects via smartphones to enhance the experience for people and tourists.
Not only watching fireworks, users could explore the city’s iconic landmarks such as Dragon Bridge, Golden Bridge, and the Lady Buddha statue.

In recent times, the city's tourism industry has applied various digital platforms such as VR360 and metaverse virtual reality technology, virtual exhibitions and the Da Nang tourism app on mobile devices.
The city has launched "One touch to Da Nang" at https://vr360.danangfantasticity.com/, plus a multilingual chatbot and digital marketing channels on Klook, KKDay, Traveloka, and Google.
Moreover, accommodation service providers in the city have also strongly applied platforms such as Agoda, Booking and Traveloka to streamline the search and reservation process for guests.
According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, digital transformation is an "inevitable solution" to enhance tourism promotion efficiency, connect products with distribution channels and visitors, and improve service convenience and quality.
To enrich tourist experience, the local tourism industry plans to develop a Da Nang Tourism Information Portal that integrates information about digital culinary map, and MICE, culinary, wellness, wedding and golf tourism. Also, marketing activities tailored to specific target markets will be carried out.
