DNO - On August 19, Da Nang will officially break ground on the Da Nang Downtown complex, a large-scale commercial, service, and entertainment park development featuring a 70-storey tower, set to become the tallest building in Central Vietnam.
The project, with a total investment of VND 79.79 trillion (approx. US$ 3.2 billion), is being developed by the Asia Park Co., Ltd. This is not just a real estate project, but the “future economic heart of Da Nang”, a symbol of the aspiration to reach international level.
As of August 15, the project site has been fenced off, with billboards showcasing the master plan installed. Preparations are underway along Phan Dang Luu Street in Hoa Cuong Ward to host the groundbreaking ceremony.
The Da Nang Downtown site covers 769,262 m2, with the iconic mixed-use tower located on a 1.6ha plot. Designed with a contemporary architectural style, the tower is envisioned as a new landmark symbolizing the city’s dynamism and growth.
The groundbreaking of the landmark project is part of a broader programme to mark Vietnam’s National Day (September 2), during which the city will launch six major projects, including: the expansion of the Chu Lai Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park; a resettlement area for the North-South high-speed railway in Dien Ban Bac Ward; the Ba Na - Suoi Mo eco-tourism and urban complex (VND 51.95 trillion); a residential project at the C1 and C2 lots in the Phu My An urban area; and a social housing project at lots B4-1 and B4-2 in the Hoa Hiep 4 resettlement area. The city will also initiate the construction of an inter-level ethnic boarding school in Tay Giang.
With its massive scale and iconic design, Da Nang Downtown is expected to redefine the city’s skyline and strengthen its position as a leading economic and tourism hub in Central Vietnam.
