What’s new at DIFF 2026 side events

Diverse programs

According to the organizers of DIFF 2026, a total of 27 supporting activities and events will be organized in the city center and various other locations.

As planned, the city will host a number of activities promoting and showcasing local specialties, including the Da Nang Vietnamese Goods Fair 2026 - Honoring OCOP Products scheduled for mid-June at the Da Nang Exhibition and Fair Center.

Also, there will be numerous cultural and artistic programs to enrich experiences for both residents and visitors during the festival season.

In particular, many cultural exchange and performance activities will be held at public venues, contributing to a lively nighttime atmosphere in Da Nang.

Included will be the Weekend Rendezvous Program on May 29 at the semicircular square of Bach Dang Walking Street, which will feature folk dance performances and exchanges.

Also, a number of activities will be hosted by by the city's Cinema and Culture Center such as Shuffle Dance Club sessions, Argentine Tango Club events, K-pop Random Dance programs, and street music performances.

According to Mr. Ha Vy, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, alongside the festival activities, DIFF 2026 also will feature various online interactive programs aimed at promoting the city’s tourism image to visitors.

Among them is the “DIFF Da Nang 2026 - Touching Moments” contest, organized by the Danang FantastiCity fanpage of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center from May 10 to 25.

The contest encourages participants to share photos and videos about Da Nang tourism and DIFF associated with their personal emotions and experiences under the theme “Touching Moments”.

In addition, the “DIFF 2026 - United Horizons” mini-game will be held weekly before each fireworks night from June 1 to 26.

Conducted in the form of quizzes and DIFF-related questions, the activity offers fireworks tickets as prizes, helping boost interaction and attract wider community participation in the festival experience.

This year’s side events also introduce several new activities compared to DIFF 2025, including the promotion of intangible cultural heritage from the My Son Sanctuary World Cultural Heritage Site.

Activities include Cham cultural performances, interactive experiences with Ginang and Paranung drums, exhibitions of publications and photographs of the My Son temple complex, Cham pottery demonstrations, and hands-on pottery-making experiences for visitors.

Toward multi-experience tourism

At the ongoing Sun Fest Ba Na Hills Festival, visitors can experience a grand feast of art and cuisine that lasts throughout the summer.

Guests are able to watch chefs perform live cooking demonstrations in outdoor spaces while enjoying a series of skill showcases, artistic performances, and interactive activities held at different times throughout the day.

Moreover, Sun World Ba Na Hills has recently launched an interactive light art space called Lumiere Light Art under the theme “Origins”.

The space offers visitors a completely new and immersive experience through a combination of contemporary art forms and advanced optoelectronic sensor technology.

Robert, an Indian tourist, shared that the integration of technology is highly impressive, delivering a unique experience rich in cultural depth and emotion, unlike conventional entertainment venues.

Mr. Nguyen Lam An, Deputy General Director of the Entertainment and Resort Division and Director of Sun World Ba Na Hills, said that this summer, the tourist area is focusing on developing tourism products centered on multi-experience travel.

The purpose is to provide visitors with a more complete holiday beyond sightseeing and check-ins.

According to Mr. An, Sun World Ba Na Hills continues to refresh its products with the "4 Lands - 4 Worlds of Experience" model, featuring spaces with different colors and emotions.

He added that continuously innovating products, enhancing experiences, and improving service quality not only help extend visitor stays, but also contribute to strengthening Da Nang’s appeal as a summer tourism destination this year.
