DNO - Anvago, a smart tourism platform developed by students in Da Nang, is offering travelers a new way to explore the city through reliable data and personalized itineraries.
Anvago - a digital platform supporting travel planning and navigation in Da Nang was developed by Huynh Quynh Anh and her teammate Nguyen Quang Khiem.
The project focuses on building a trusted tourism database designed to help visitors create efficient and meaningful travel experiences in Da Nang.
Unlike many travel applications that simply aggregate online reviews and recommendations, Anvago operates by directly surveying, experiencing and evaluating destinations based on its own criteria system.
The platform prioritises reliable and updated information instead of providing large volumes of generic suggestions.
The system is designed to support highly specific travel needs. Instead of recommending standard itineraries, Anvago can suggest experiences based on available timeframes, such as a three-hour morning itinerary, half-day cultural tours, food-focused routes or personalized journeys for families, solo travelers and young visitor groups.
For example, if a visitor has only three free hours in the morning, the platform could automatically suggest a short itinerary combining coffee by the Hàn River, a visit to Dragon Bridge, a walk through Han Market and local breakfast options nearby.
For travelers interested in nature, Anvago could recommend a customized route to Son Tra Peninsula, including scenic viewpoints, cafés and sunset spots based on weather conditions and travel time.
If travellers request experiences that are not yet included in the system, the development team will conduct additional research and field surveys to design customised itineraries. The newly collected data is then added to the platform, gradually expanding its tourism database.
According to the student team, Anvago plans to integrate artificial intelligence and big data analysis in the future to better understand travelers’ preferences, schedules and search behavior, enabling the platform to deliver more accurate and personalized travel recommendations.
Anvago reflects a broader transformation in modern tourism, where personalization, convenience and trustworthy information are becoming increasingly important.
For Da Nang, a city aiming to strengthen its smart and sustainable tourism ecosystem, platforms like Anvago could become valuable digital tools connecting visitors with local services, destinations and authentic cultural experiences.
Rather than encouraging tourists to simply follow popular “check-in” trends, the platform helps travelers discover experiences that match their interests and travel styles. This approach aligns with global tourism trends favouring slower, more meaningful and experience-driven travel.
The project also highlights how younger generations are applying technology not merely to digitize tourism services, but to improve the quality of the travel experience itself.
By combining local knowledge, verified data and personalized recommendations, Anvago aims to help visitors navigate Da Nang more comfortably and confidently.
After winning third prize at SV_STARTUP 2026, the team said its next priority is to continue expanding its trusted tourism database for Da Nang.
As Da Nang continues positioning itself as one of Vietnam’s leading tourism destinations, initiatives like Anvago could reshape how future travelers explore the city, not through endless online searches, but through curated journeys built on reliable data, local insight and personalized experiences.
Instead of spending hours comparing scattered recommendations, visitors could receive tailored itineraries that connect tourist attractions across Da Nang according to their schedules, interests and travel styles.
