The opening ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung, Trade Counsellor Le Huu Phuc of the Viet Nam Trade Office in Thailand, representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, officials from various provinces and cities in both countries, over 60 Vietnamese and Thai enterprises, and a large number of Thai residents and visitors.

It marks the eighth year that "Vietnamese Week in Thailand" has been held.

Alongside promoting five of Vietnam's top destinations, including Lao Cai (Sa Pa), Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and An Giang (Phu Quoc), as well as products with export potential, this year's program features the signing of cooperation memoranda between Central Group, the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), and VietinBank to facilitate cross-border QR payments (VietQRGlobal) between Vietnam and Thailand. This links trade with tourism and digital payment services.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung emphasized that this year's program introduces Vietnamese products to Thai consumers while bringing Vietnamese culture, cuisine, tourism, and the images of various localities closer to the Thai public.

Furthermore, expanding market connections and economic ties between Vietnam and Thailand will serve as a bridge for opportunities in trade, investment, and value chains. This thereby makes a significant contribution to concretizing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Central Group Chairwoman Wallaya Chirathivat said the programme had evolved since its launch in 2016 from a promotional event into a platform connecting businesses and creating commercial opportunities.

According to thailandexhibition.com, visitors coming to the Vietnamese Week in Thailand in Bangkok will have opportunities to explore the flavours of Vietnam through live cooking demonstrations and tastings featuring popular dishes such as pho, banh mi and fresh spring rolls.

They can also enjoy Vietnamese coffee at a special pop-up café and discover more about tea culture through a tea-brewing workshop, offering another way to experience Vietnamese food and beverage traditions.

One of the main highlights of the Vietnamese Week in Thailand 2026 is the gathering of more than 60 Vietnamese vendors from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, An Giang and Lao Cai.

Visitors can discover premium Vietnamese coffee from Adoré café; FNB and Real Bean Coffee; quality tea and tea-brewing workshops from Vietnam Tea Shop; instant noodles from CaThiFood; and processed fruit and vegetable products from Mekong Herbals.

The selection also includes craft chocolate from Bittersweet Chocolatier, authentic Phu Quoc fish sauce from Khai Hoan and Huynh Khoa, salt and seasonings from Donkey Marine and VIPEP, beverages from Idocean, MOCBACMILK and Vinacacao, as well as textile-related products from VietHouse.

In addition, visitors can also explore special offers on selected Vietnamese imports curated by TOPS FOOD HALL. The Vietnamese Week in Thailand 2026 brings the atmosphere of Vietnam to the heart of Bangkok through an Ao Dai fashion show and Vietnamese cultural performances.

Visitors can also stop by dedicated check-in spots and a photo booth designed to showcase the colours and distinctive charm of Vietnam while capturing memorable moments from the event. Inspired to experience Vietnam in person? Vietnam Airlines and Hong Ngoc Ha Travel will bring special travel offers to the event, including flight discounts and tour packages.
