Da Nang currently maintains friendship and cooperation relations with two Thai localities, namely Khon Kaen and Ubon Ratchathani provinces.

As of late July 2026, Thailand had 16 investment projects in Da Nang with a total registered capital of over US$112 million.

Cooperation in education and training, as well as people-to-people exchanges, between Da Nang and Thailand has also been actively promoted. This has significantly contributed to strengthening and deepening the traditional friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

On July 3, 2026, during a meeting between Da Nang leaders and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Thailand to Vietnam, both sides agreed to continue promoting cooperation in culture, tourism, people-to-people exchanges and other areas in which Da Nang has potential.

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi affirmed that these efforts will provide a solid foundation for fostering friendship and substantive, wide-ranging cooperation between Da Nang and Thailand in the coming period.
