DNO - The Chinese Consulate General in Da Nang recently hosted an event to mark the conclusion of Chinese Consul General Dong Biyou’s tenure, highlighting the warm ties and growing cooperation between China and Vietnam’s central region.

The event was attended by Da Nang People’s Council Vice Chairman Doan Ngoc Hung Anh, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, consuls general of foreign countries in Da Nang, as well as representatives of local communities, agencies and Chinese businesses.
Addressing the reception, Chinese Consul General Dong Biyou recalled her memorable experiences and expressed her deep affection for Da Nang and the central region as a whole during her tenure, which began in 2021.
The Chinese diplomat conveyed her sincere appreciation to the city’s leadership for their attention, support and effective coordination with the Chinese Consulate General throughout her term, helping facilitate a wide range of bilateral exchanges and cooperation activities.

She also expressed her delight at the progress made by Da Nang in implementing the goals and tasks set out at the 13th and 14th National Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
These efforts have delivered significant achievements and contributed to improving people's quality of life.
She particularly highlighted Da Nang's positive progress in developing an International Financial Center and a Free Trade Zone, describing these initiatives as important drivers of the city's future growth.

Looking ahead, Chinese Consul General Dong Biyou expressed her hope that local authorities and communities would continue to support the Chinese Consulate General and the incoming consul general.
Such cooperation would help further nurture the longstanding friendship and deepen practical cooperation between China and Vietnam, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.
She also called for new momentum to build the China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
