DNO - Vietnam Airlines has taken a flavorful step to enhance passenger experience by offering Pizza 4P’s on select domestic and international flights, marking the first time the national carrier sells food items separately on board.

As recently reported by Vietnam News Agency, the service started on December 1 and is available on flights departing from the capital city of Ha Noi and the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City.
Domestic flights must be at least one hour long, while international routes require a minimum of one hour and 30 minutes.
Passengers can choose from two options: Margherita and 4 Cheese pizzas, offered in half-size portions for VND119,000 each.
Orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance through the airline’s official website or mobile app.
Pizza 4P’s, founded in 2011 by Japanese couple Yosuke Masuko and Sanae Takasugi, has positioned itself as a restaurant chain rather than a fast-food brand.
It currently operates 40 locations, including 35 in Vietnam and five abroad in Cambodia, Indonesia, Japan, and India.
Previously, Vietnam Airlines provided standard meal services included with tickets and, since mid-2022, began inflight bubble tea portions with each valued at VND49,000 on domestic routes and VND100,000 for international flights.
Introducing branded and personalized products like pizza is part of the airline’s strategy to cater to younger travellers, families, and international passengers, while elevating the overall onboard experience.
By partnering with 4P’s, Vietnam Airlines aims to combine high-quality dining with the convenience of in-flight service, reflecting a trend of more personalized, branded offerings for modern passengers.
Other Vietnamese carriers, including Vietjet, Bamboo Airways, and Vietravel Airlines, have long offered onboard food and souvenirs to boost ancillary revenue. In the third quarter of 2025, Vietjet alone reported over VND6 trillion in revenue from ancillary services.
