Onboard facilities include lounge carriages and a communal area where traditional music and dance performances are held, adding to the journey’s appeal.
As reported by Condé Nast Traveler, a one-way ticket for the route costs around US$11, making it one of the most affordable options on the list.
The combination of striking scenery, accessible fares, well-suited services and authentic local cultural experiences helps make the journey particularly appealing to travelers.
The inclusion of the Vietnam Central Heritage Connection in the top 10 best train trips worldwide for 2026 is a positive sign for promoting tourism in Da Nang and central Vietnam as a whole.

On the six-hour journey from Da Nang to Quy Nhon, passengers are served a three-course meal inspired by Vietnamese and French cuisine.
On the Quy Nhon - Nha Trang route, afternoon tea showcases Vietnamese delicacies, including caviar, locally made cheese and premium tea.
According to Condé Nast Traveler, the train features a luxurious interior with six private booths accommodating up to 12 passengers.
The inclusion of both train journeys highlights the potential of Vietnam’s railways to appeal to a diverse range of travelers, from those seeking affordable ways to explore the central region’s scenery and culture to visitors looking for a luxury getaway.
It also points to opportunities to develop rail tourism products that place greater emphasis on the onboard experience, rather than focusing solely on departure and arrival destinations.
