Accordingly, the parties agree to continue researching and developing new railway tourism products that capitalize on the route’s scenic landscapes, heritage sites and travel experiences.

A key focus is the proposed launch of a Hue - Da Nang steam train service, with a trial run expected in October 2026.

The steam train service is envisioned as a distinctive experience for visitors traveling between the two cities, with the journey featuring the scenic Hai Van Pass.

At the same time, plans are being studied to include the arrangement of a stop at the Hai Van Pass. This allows passengers to sightsee and take photos, thereby enhancing the overall experience and appeal of the route.

Following the success of the Hue - Da Nang heritage train service, VNR is expected to coordinate with some relevant partners to study the introduction of additional tourism products.

The aim is to gradually develop a railway tourism ecosystem linked to heritage, scenic landscapes, leisure, medical tourism and wellness services.

The initiative is expected to diversify tourism products, enhance the route’s appeal, and improve connectivity among tourism services in localities along the route.
