Rising to the continental challenge

The 2026 ICPC Asia Pacific Championship served as the premier programming competition for students within the Asia-Pacific region, uniting leading teams from across the area.

Following five hours of intense competition, BKDN.LoveBaku successfully solved six problems, earning a bronze medal and showcasing their exceptional problem-solving abilities and teamwork in a highly competitive setting.

Team member Luu Duy Quang said the contest was highly demanding, requiring consistency through multiple qualifying stages. Over nearly three years, the team followed a rigorous training routine, simulating contest conditions and refining their strategies.

After solving six problems and securing a bronze medal, they felt an immense sense of pride, viewing the result as a significant culmination of their final year at university. Under the mentorship of Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, the team developed robust technical skills and resilience.

Although they missed qualifying for the world finals, this achievement reflects their capability, perseverance, and competitive spirit.

Pursuing passion with perseverance

Each team member followed a distinct path. Vo Dac Bao An overcame early challenges in communication and teamwork to take on a key role through persistence.

Meanwhile, Luu Duy Quang served as the team’s strategic coordinator, describing ICPC contests as an emotional journey, from setbacks to last-minute breakthroughs. Nguyen Duc Nha highlighted adaptability and teamwork as essential, with each training session offering lessons beyond algorithms.

The team’s result at the 2026 Asia Pacific Championship reflects not only technical progress but also growth in mindset and resilience.
