DNO - The Da Nang People's Committee has just greenlighted investment in building a road connecting the Western Ring Road to La Son - Tuy Loan Expressway at a total cost of over VND 1.6 trillion.
The project will be implemented in Ba Na Commune and Lien Chieu Ward. The road will begin at its intersection with the Western Ring Road in Ba Na Commune and end at its intersection with the southern tunnel of Hai Van - Tuy Loan located in Lien Chieu Ward.
The project will be carried out from 2025 to 2028. Its aim is to complete the main traffic network according to the city’s master plan until 2030 with a vision to 2045.
Once completed, the road will form part of a high-quality ring road network in the southern and western sides of Da Nang, meeting travel needs within and between urban areas, while connecting the city's key economic zones.
The project will help promote the efficiency of investment in key projects by connecting the city’s Dedicated Information Technology Park, High-Tech Park, and Hoa Ninh Industrial Park with main traffic axes, meeting future transportation needs, especially goods movement between Lien Chieu Port and the southern and western sides of the city.
In addition, the road will form a bypass for National Highway 1 through the city center, replacing the southern Hai Van Tunnel bypass which has been upgraded and expanded into a highway.
This will help ease traffic congestion on central routes, particularly during peak hours, and reduce the risk of traffic accidents.
