DNO - Lao Consul General in Da Nang Vonkham Chuengmanivong, on Thursday, visited and extended greetings to the Da Nang War Veterans’ Association on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2).

At the reception, Lao Consul General Vonkham Chuengmanivong conveyed her best wishes to officials and members of the Da Nang War Veterans’ Association.
She also expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions made by generations of Vietnamese war veterans and volunteer soldiers who stood side by side with the Lao army and people during the struggle for national liberation, as well as in the cause of national construction and defense today.
The Lao diplomat highly valued the cooperation between the Da Nang War Veterans’ Association and its Lao twinning localities.
She added that the positive results have been reflected through a range of practical activities, including exchanges, cooperation agreements, and free medical check-ups and medicine for people living in border areas.
Colonel Truong Chi Lang, Chairman of the Da Nang War Veterans’ Association, thanked the Lao Consul General’s sentiments and attention.
He affirmed that the association will continue to uphold its traditions and strengthen people-to-people diplomacy, contributing to educating younger generations and further nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in a sustainable manner.
