DNO - The “Da Nang - Copenhagen: A Green Journey Along the Han River” program will take place from June 20 - 22 at the APEC Sculpture Park, and some roads along the Han River.

Jointly organized by the Danish Embassy in Vietnam and the People's Committee of Da Nang, the program aims to mark the 55th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Denmark (1971 - 2026).
The event is a meaningful initiative contributing to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in the field of green and sustainable urban development.
The opening ceremony of the program will take place at 7:00 am on June 20 at the APEC Sculpture Park, with the participation of Da Nang’s leaders, the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, representatives of agencies, organizations, and businesses, as well as local residents, young people, and students.
A highlight of the program will be a cycling activity scheduled from 7:45 am to 8:15 am on the same day. The route will pass through key downtown streets, APEC Sculpture Park, and the Dragon Bridge.
The activity aims to promote green lifestyles and environmentally friendly transportation, and raise public awareness of sustainable development.
In addition, a thematic exhibition will be held at the APEC Sculpture Park from June 20 to 22. It will showcase images of Copenhagen, one of the world’s leading models of green urban development, sustainable transportation, and cycling culture.
Also, the exhibition will feature a collection of images highlighting Da Nang’s landscapes, daily life, cultural identity, and development achievements.
Under the theme “A Green Journey Along the Han River”, the program is an opportunity to promote the cultural values, landscapes, and distinctive identities of the two riverside cities: Da Nang and Copenhagen.
It also serves as a platform to spread positive messages on environmental protection, green urban development, and improving residents’ quality of life.
The event also affirms Da Nang city's commitment to green, sustainable development and deep international integration in line with the orientation of building Da Nang into an ecological, smart, and livable city in the region.
