Bright spot in investment attraction

The Da Nang Hi-tech Park, one of Vietnam's three national hi-tech parks, owns outstanding advantages for investment attraction. It serves not only as a production hub but also as a place connecting hi-tech, logistics, research, and innovation. It thereby contributes to drawing strategic capital into high-value-added industries.

A highlight is technical infrastructure comprehensively developed in this park. It creates favourable conditions for investors to rapidly implement projects and commence operations here.

The park is spanning an area of approximately 1,128.4 hectares. It is about 18km from the city center and Da Nang airport and 8km from Lien Chieu Port.

The park takes this advantageous position to connect the city's vital transport and service hubs. Meanwhile, the combination of city's high-tech park and Free Trade Zone opens up new avenues for growth, helping Da Nang attract strategic investment capital.

Reportedly, the Da Nang Hi-tech Park has attracted 33 investment projects, with a total registered investment capital of nearly US$1.17 billion, including 20 domestic projects and 13 foreign direct investment ones.

Prominent projects

According to the Da Nang Specific Economic Zones Authority (DSEZA), key hi-tech industrial clusters are being completed in the park. They include aerospace component manufacturing, hi-tech medical equipment, electrical and electronic sectors, data centers, hi-tech logistics, and technology support services.

Prominent projects include the aerospace component manufacturing from Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC, USA), with a total investment of $160 million; the KP Aerospace Vietnam, with an investment of $20 million; and Foxlink Group, totaling approximately $135 million in the electrical/electronics and hi-tech supporting industries.

The hi-tech park is also attracting projects involving data centers, as well as logistics and supply chain management centers that utilize hi-tech applications.

In particular, the Decision No. 860/QĐ-UBND was announced by the Da Nang People's Committee on March 12, 2026. The city featured a list of 219 investment attraction projects for the 2026-2030 period. It included several projects aimed at the Da Nang Hi-tech Park and the city's industrial zones.

According to DSEZA, the list covers hi-tech park, the centralized digital technology park, the free trade zone, and industrial zones in Da Nang. It includes 10 projects in science, technology, and information technology; 5 projects involving infrastructure investment for functional areas within the free trade zone; and 11 projects on industrial zone infrastructure.

Da Nang recently offered investment policies and registration certificates for infrastructure projects at sites No. 2, 3, and 4 of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. They span a total area of approximately 910 hectares, with a combined investment capital exceeding VND 15,025 billion. This signals a shift from simple manufacturing-based projects toward hi-tech sectors.

Based on Da Nang’s master plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, and the development scheme for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, DSEZA aims to develop a space for distinct roles, interconnection, and mutual support among functional zones, aligned with key technologies.

For example, the Da Nang Hi-tech Park will focus on research and development (R&D), hi-tech manufacturing, and core technologies. It prioritizes information technology, semiconductors, electromechanics and robotics, environmental technology, and new materials.

DSEZA will continue to uphold its role in receiving and processing administrative procedures regarding investment, construction, environmental compliance, and labor for projects within the hi-tech park.
