DNO - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh, on Friday, received a group of representatives from the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City and the German Business Association in Vietnam (GBA).

The meeting was attended by German Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Andrea Sühl, GBA Chairman Alexander Ziehe, and a number of German businesses and investors.
Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh said Da Nang has attracted 24 German-invested FDI projects with a total registered capital of around US$233.3 million.
These projects focus on such sectors as processing and manufacturing, automotive components, plastics, textiles and software.
This foundation indicates significant potential for further cooperation between the two sides, particularly as the city establishes new development spaces and growth drivers.

Mr Minh highlighted Da Nang’s desire to attract more investment from German enterprises in high-tech, advanced manufacturing, automation, supporting industries, semiconductors, logistics, energy and environmental sectors.
He added that Da Nang also wanted to promote cooperation in education and training, research and development, and technology transfer.
The city also expected that the GBA would continue serving as an important bridge between the city and the German business community in the time ahead.
The city leader also reaffirmed the city government’s commitment in maintaining a transparent, stable and competitive investment environment, and accelerating digital transformation and administrative reform.
At the same time, he also pledged the city’s willingness to support German investors from the initial stage of exploring opportunities through project implementation and operations.

For her part, Consul General Andrea Sühl described Da Nang as a dynamic, friendly city with significant development potential.
She affirmed that she would work to support the GBA and German businesses, thereby helping promote the city's open spirit and favorable investment environment among German investors.
GBA Chairman Alexander Ziehe emphasized that investment from German businesses in Da Nang and the central region has increased significantly in recent years.
Many investors have been showing their keen interest in key areas such as artificial intelligence, the International Financial Center and the Free Trade Zone, he informed.
The GBA pledged to support investment promotion efforts and help German businesses better understand opportunities in the city's high-tech parks.

On the occasion, the GBA and the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote cooperation and strengthen the presence of German businesses in Da Nang in the coming period.
