DNO - After two days of exiting competition, the 2025 League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Finals Weekend concluded in Da Nang, leaving many beautiful impressions on local and international fans.
According to incomplete statistics from the organizers, on September 20 and 21, the event attracted nearly 5,000 spectators on site and hundreds of thousands of online viewers via global broadcasting platforms.
In addition to watching and cheering for their favourite teams, fans also experienced a lot of interesting activities such as meet-and-greet sessions with players and KOLs, minigames, cosplay shows, and showmatches of League of Legends and Truth Arena. They also had a chance to check in to receive gifts at sponsor booths.
As a fan of League of Legends for many years, Mr. Tran Manh Hung residing in Hai Chau Ward, shared “I couldn’t be happier that an international League of Legends tournament was held in Da Nang after almost a decade. The atmosphere was very bustling, with so many interesting activities, making me extremely excited”.
Not only fans in Da Nang, the event also received high appreciation from international fans, especially those from Taiwan (China) who came to support their two representative teams.
Ms. Peijung Lu from Taiwan (China) said that this was the first time she had come to Vietnam. She really enjoyed the event, and she was impressed by Da Nang’s landscape and vibrant lifestyle.
For participants, LCP 2025 brought a new breeze to the city’s sports and entertainment industry. Aside from the traditional activities that have become the city's brand, the tournament affirmed the vitality and appeal of e-sports among young people.
Its scale and diverse activities underscored the city’s strong potential to grow tourism through e-sports events. Therefore, maintaining cooperation and promoting the organization of similar events is a necessary direction, contributing to fostering local economic development, and spreading the image of a dynamic, youthful city to many international friends.
The LCP 2025 finals week brought together the three strongest teams of the season. They were Team Secret Whales (Vietnam), and CTBC Flying Oysters and PSG Talon (both from Taiwan, China). They competed in the Best-of-5 format on September 20 and 21.
In the end, CTBC Flying Oysters won the LCP 2025 championship title. Vietnam's representative Team Secret Whales finished as the runner-up, while PSG Talon came in third place.
All three teams earned tickets to the League of Legends World Championship, scheduled to take place in China later this year.
