DNO - In the first 8 months of 2025, Da Nang served an estimated 12.8 million visitors, an increase of over 20% over the same period last year. This result is considered a clear achievement from the city’s tourism stimulus programs.
Since the beginning of the year, Da Nang has launched the program “Enjoy Da Nang - Multiple Experiences” to attract both domestic and international visitors.
Following the administrative boundary expansion, in August 2025, the city continued to launch a year-end stimulus program with the theme "New Da Nang - New experiences".
The program is accompanied by a series of large-scale festivals, attractive incentives, and the participation of more than 300 corporations, enterprises and over 200 service providers, and tech firms.
The highlights of the program include numerous tourism products and services, combined with the strong application of digital transformation, to bring new experiences to tourists.
Notably, five special programs and 2 new technology solutions have been introduced, “Enjoy Danang - Diverse Experiences”, the “Da Nang Food Tour - Heritage Tour - Green Tour” experience passport, an event and festival experience journey, the “I Love Da Nang” campaign, and special preferential policies for MICE and wedding tourism.
According to Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the stimulus program has a very special meaning as Da Nang tourism enters a new chapter - a tourist city with a larger space following the boundary expansion.
In 2025, the city targets to welcome more than 17.3 million visitors, including 7.6 million foreigners and 9.7 million domestic tourists. The local tourism industry aims to earn over VND 29.9 trillion in revenue. Though challenging, these goals reflect Da Nang’s strong expectations for the success of its tourism promotion efforts.
To ensure sustainable growth, Da Nang is concentrating on improving multi-channel communication in the forms of both online and offline, with focus on key markets.
Promotion highlights include the image of a “New Da Nang” and the city’s recent accolades, such as Hoi An ranking 6th among the world’s 25 most beautiful cities in the 2025 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards.
Additionally, the city is making efforts to maintain safety and security, environmental sanitation, food hygiene, and strict measures against aggressive solicitation of tourists.
