DNO - Work started on a new Primary and Secondary Boarding and Semi-Boarding School in Ahu Village, Tay Giang Commune, Da Nang on Tuesday.
The school will serve more than 1,000 pupils. It will feature 30 classrooms, 14 subject rooms, an administrative and management block, pupil dormitories, teachers' housing, a multi-purpose hall, sports facilities, a cultural house, and a system of synchronously-invested technical infrastructure and teaching equipment.
The construction cost of the project is over VND 262 billion funded by the central and city budgets, and other legal sources.
The project is expected to be completed and put into use in the 2026-2027 academic year.
It is carried out by the Da Nang Management Board of Industrial and Civil Engineering Construction and Investment Projects in coordination with the municipal Department of Education and Training.
This project has a special significance in improving the quality of education for pupils in border areas, while promoting sustainable socio-economic development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan highlighted that the project was not only an educational task but also an important political and social responsibility.
It will greatly contribute to raising educational standards, caring for the younger generation, creating momentum for socio-economic development, and ensuring national defence and security in border areas, he added.
