DNO - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh, on Wednesday, visited and extended greetings to the Consulate General of Laos in the city on the occasion of Bunpimay (traditional New Year of Laos).

Joining the delegation were Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh and Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong. Lao Consul General in Da Nang Vonkham Chuenmanivong hosted the reception.
Deputy Secretary Nguyen Dinh Vinh affirmed that in recent years, Da Nang and Lao localities have strengthened practical cooperation in various fields, including human resource training, healthcare, education, trade and investment, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges, as well as mutual support in socio-economic development.

In early April, a delegation of the city’s officials, led by Party Committee Secretary Le Ngoc Quang, paid working visits and expressed New Year greetings to southern provinces of Laos.
The visits reaffirmed Da Nang’s consistent commitment to standing side by side with Lao partners and prioritizing the nurturing of the great friendship for the stable and prosperous development of both sides.
On behalf of the city’s Party Committee, government and people, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh wished Lao Consul General Vonkham Chuenmanivong and all staff of the Consulate General a warm, healthy and happy Bunpimay, along with continued success in their work.
He also voiced his hope that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States and the peoples of Viet Nam and Laos, as well as between Da Nang and Lao localities, will remain evergreen and enduring for generations to come.

For her part, Lao Consul General in Da Nang Vonkham Chuenmanivong thanked the city leaders for their kind wishes, sincere support and active assistance to the Lao Consulate General over the past time.
She also voiced her confidence that, built on the long-standing bonds between the two Parties and States, the special relationships between Da Nang and Lao localities will continue to grow stronger and reach new heights in the coming time.
