DNO - Thanks to its strategic economic location, increasingly improved infrastructure, and open investment climate, Da Nang is emerging as a potential destination for high-quality investment capital flows.

In the first two months of 2026, Da Nang stepped up efforts to attract both domestic and foreign investment through a series of promotion, connectivity and business environment improvement activities.
According to the Da Nang Statistics Office, from the beginning of the year to February 20, 2026, the city attracted a total investment capital of VND 34.779 trillion, seven times higher than the same period in 2025.
Specifically, 22 new projects were licensed with a combined registered capital of VND 31.335 trillion, up 11 projects and 20 times in capital compared to the same period last year. In addition, four projects increased their capital with an additional VND 3.841 trillion.
As for foreign direct investment (FDI), during that period, the total registered FDI capital reached US$ 34.5 million, a 27.1% year-on-year decrease against 2025.
Capital contributions, share purchases and stake acquisitions in economic organizations remained active, with five transactions totaling US$ 5.3 million, significantly higher than four transactions worth US$ 0.1 million recorded in the same period last year.
The figures indicate that foreign capital continues to maintain its presence in the city, although no large-scale breakthrough projects were registered during the period. The rising number of projects and capital contribution deals, however, provides a foundation for expanding investment cooperation in the coming months.
Within the framework of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in January, Da Nang hosted an investment promotion conference themed “Da Nang: A New Convergence Point for Green Capital and Digital Finance”.
Through the event, the city introduced its development vision aligned with the global shift toward green growth and digital transformation trends that are reshaping international investment flows.
Additionally, numerous bilateral meetings with international corporations and organizations were held. Discussions delved into institutional refinement, regulatory sandbox design, high-quality human resource development and the promotion of innovation in financial technology.
Mr. Tran Van Vu, Head of the Da Nang Statistics Office, noted that business support policies and a selective investment attraction strategy prioritizing high technology, smart urban development and sustainability have been implemented consistently.
These efforts, he said, have helped strengthen the confidence of the business community and gradually enhance the city’s investment appeal and position in a new development phase.
With its favorable economic location, increasingly improved infrastructure and open investment environment, Da Nang is widely regarded as a potential hub for high-quality capital.
Many investors have spoken positively about Da Nang's reform determination and strategic vision, considering them as a crucial foundation for enhancing the city's role and position on the regional financial map.
