DNO - A historic moment for pickleball unfolded in Vietnam as the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Asia - MB Vietnam Cup 2025 was officially recognized by Guinness World Records for attracting the largest live audience in the sport’s history.

More than 7,900 fans filled the Tien Son Sports Arena in Da Nang on October 4, setting a new global benchmark for a game that has rapidly risen in popularity across Asia.
The record was confirmed during the tournament’s closing ceremony, attended by city officials and international guests.
Organized by the Da Nang Pickleball Federation (DPF) and America & Asia Connection (AAC), the five-day competition showcased both the sport’s global appeal and Da Nang’s growing reputation as a host for international sporting events.

In the professional (Pro) division, Vietnam’s own Phuc Huynh clinched the men’s singles crown, while Sahra Dennehy triumphed in the women’s singles.

The mixed doubles title went to Jonathan Truong and Alix Truong, the women’s doubles champions were Chao Yi Wang and K. Christian, and the men’s doubles trophy was lifted by T. McGuffin and E. Oncins.
The Pro division awarded a total prize purse of USD 150,000, underscoring the growing commercial weight of the sport.
Alongside the elite contests, the tournament embraced pickleball’s inclusive spirit by featuring an Amateur division with singles and doubles events across multiple age groups.
This broad participation underlined why pickleball is often celebrated as one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.
