DNO - Hoang Van Hai and Le Thi Nhu Quynh have contributed many valuable medals to Da Nang’s sports in the Aquathlon event (a combination of swimming and running).
Born in 2004 in Quang Tri, Hoang Van Hai showed talent in swimming. After being selected for the city's talent swimming team, he practiced seriously and constantly improved his abilities.
Hai won a gold medal at the 2021 National Swimming Championship, a bronze medal at the 2022 National Age Group Swimming Championship, and a silver and three bronze medals at the 2022 National Youth Swimming Championship.
With a good swimming foundation, Hai was selected for the city’s Triathlon team and gained numerous remarkable achievements. Included were a gold medal at the 2022 National Sports Games in the Aquathlon event, a bronze at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023, a silver medal at the 2023 National Championship, and two golds at the 2024 National Championship.
In 2025, he has already secured two national golds and a silver at the World Triathlon Cup.
After joining the Da Nang triathlon team in 2023, Nhu Quynh left her mark by winning a silver medal and a bronze medal at the National Championship in the same year.
In 2024, she won a gold medal and a silver medal, while also dominating amateur Aquathlon competitions. Since early 2025, she has grabbed another national gold and silver medals in triathlon.
Shining on both national and international stages, Hai and Quynh are being called up to Vietnam’s national triathlon team in preparation for the forthcoming 33rd SEA Games in Thailand later this year. They are now intensively training with their coaches to push their limits and reach their best performances.
