Diversifying tourism products

At Co Hong Restaurant at 103 Nguyen Van Thoai Street, which specializes in Da Nang specialties, the menu features a variety of local dishes, including Nam O herring salad, steamed scad served with fresh vegetables, pork wrapped in rice paper, Quang noodles and rice vermicelli with fermented anchovy sauce.

To attract diners during the off-peak season, the restaurant continues to refresh its offerings by introducing combo meals that bring together several dishes, making it easier for customers to choose and sample local specialties. Notably, its assorted platter, priced from VND139,000, caters to a wide range of customers.

In addition to product development, the restaurant has stepped up its social media promotion, and kept up with emerging trends to adjust its menu accordingly.

Meanwhile, Leaf Village & Farm, located in Hai Van Ward, is introducing promotional programs and refreshing nature-based and cultural activities to attract visitors.

The site is offering a 50% discount on admission and experience tickets, while waiving fees for selected exchange activities for first-year university students, researchers and survey groups conducting thematic studies on the green economy, community-based tourism and sustainable development.

Leaf Village & Farm is also developing agricultural and Co Tu cultural experiences, including harvesting vegetables, catching fish with traditional basket traps, making 'banh sung trau' (traditional horn-shaped cakes), learning brocade weaving, and joining the local community in the ‘tung tung da da’ dance and bamboo pole dancing.

Enhancing safety at Da Nang’s tourist destinations

In addition to refreshing tourism products, ensuring visitor safety remains a priority, particularly during periods of rain and strong winds.

After a temporary suspension of activities due to unfavorable weather, Son Tra Peninsula has reopened to visitors.

The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches advises residents and tourists to follow sightseeing regulations, use only authorized routes and avoid joining unauthorized trekking tours or self-organized ecotourism activities in special-use forests.

At major beaches, authorities regularly remind visitors and prevent them from entering the water when waves are high or weather conditions are unsafe.

Rescue and emergency response equipment is inspected and maintained periodically, with essential equipment expected to be supplemented.

By combining product innovation, improved visitor experiences and stronger safety measures, Da Nang wants to enhance its tourism appeal during the off-peak season and to build its image as an attractive, professional and sustainable destination.
