Building a festival ecosystem

After more than 17 years of accompanying DIFF, Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong said that the organization of the festival has become increasingly professional and the event has become an iconic symbol of Da Nang.

“Whenever people mention Da Nang, they immediately think of DIFF” she noted.

According to Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, Vietnam is currently the only country to host a fireworks festival integrated into a comprehensive 360-degree ecosystem, combining fireworks displays with music, culture and supporting tourism services.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee for DIFF 2026, said that Da Nang hoped to leverage DIFF to develop a professional event ecosystem that links culture, tourism, entertainment, and the night-time economy.

Although DIFF 2026 concluded, the journey of developing Da Nang's identity as a festival city continues. A series of new events and tourism products are emerging, affirming the vitality of a dynamic and constantly innovating destination.
