DNO - Team Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal) claimed the championship at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 after a stunning final performance on Saturday night, while Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China) earned the runner-up title.
According to the festival’s organizing committee, the Macedos Pirotecnia team received a cash prize of US$20,000. Team Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd was awarded US$10,000.
The result was based on a comprehensive set of judging criteria, including originality, design concept and alignment with the performance theme, diversity and richness of fireworks effects and color intensity, synchronization between music and the display, the finale and overall impression, as well as the emotional impact assessed by the judging panel.
The organizing committee also presented the Creativity Award to the Martarello Group S.R.L team (Italy) for its distinctive and highly impressive performance in the qualifying round.
Team Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks (Japan) received the Promising Team Award in recognition of its technically precise and professionally executed display during the qualifying round.
Meanwhile, the Da Nang team of Vietnam was honored with the Audience Favorite Award, reflecting the overwhelming support it received from spectators.
Each of the three special awards is a cash prize of US$5,000.
As DIFF 2026 concluded, the fireworks faded from the skies above the Han River, but Da Nang’s journey toward becoming a premier destination for international festivals continues.
