DNO - The “City Ecological Route” project is funded by Engagement Global gGmbH organization and the city of Wernigerode, Germany, with additional funding from Da Nang’s budget.
The Da Nang People’s Committee has approved Decision No. 4720/QD-UBND on receiving the “City Ecological Route” project.
Funded by Engagement Global gGmbH and Wernigerode City in Germany, the project has a total budget of VND25 billion. It will be carried out in Hoi An Tay and Hoi An Dong wards from October 2026 to December 2028.
Under the municipal decision, the project aims to support the construction of observation stations along the cycling route of the “City Ecological Route”, as well as related activities.
Furthermore, it will focus on establishing facilities for public awareness campaigns in order to promote the protection of natural ecosystems, enhance the value of local tourist attractions and create livelihoods for communities in the area.
The municipal government has assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to receive, manage and implement the project in accordance with the approved aid provisions.
The department is also responsible for overseeing the receipt and use of the aid, ensuring that it serves its intended purposes and delivers the expected results, while complying with regulations on foreign aid, public investment and construction investment, as well as commitments made to the donors.
The department is also tasked with coordinating with relevant agencies to complete the procedures for receiving and implementing the aid in accordance with regulations.
