DNO - During his meeting on Thursday with Consul General of the Netherlands in Ho Chi Minh City Raissa Anais Marteaux, Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Pham Duc An, expressed his desire to further promote cooperation between Da Nang and Dutch partners in a substantive, effective and in-depth manner, in line with the potential and development needs of both sides.

Chairman Pham Duc An warmly welcomed the delegation from the Consulate General of the Netherlands on their working visit to Da Nang. He spoke highly of the good cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands in recent years.
He stated that Da Nang is orienting its development towards an ecological, smart, and modern urban model, with ample room to attract international investment.
On that basis, the city wishes to strengthen cooperation with Dutch partners in areas of mutual strength such as sustainable infrastructure development, high technology, innovation, logistics, tourism, and smart city development.
Mr. An asked for support from Ms. Raissa Anais Marteaux to encourage Dutch enterprises and investors to explore Da Nang’s investment environment and cooperation opportunities. The city is committed to creating favorable conditions for capable businesses to implement projects, especially in key projects such as Lien Chieu Port and Chu Lai Airport.
In addition, the city leader proposed that the Consulate General of the Netherlands facilitate connections between Da Nang and a Dutch locality with similar characteristics, thereby paving the way toward establishing formal cooperation ties and expanding exchanges of experience in urban governance, infrastructure development, and climate change adaptation.
For her part, Consul General Raissa Anais Marteaux extended Lunar New Year wishes of prosperity and well-being to the authorities and people of Da Nang. She also expressed her special interest and expectations for enhanced bilateral cooperation in the near future.
She voiced her impression of Da Nang’s strong development momentum, noting that the city is entering a new phase of opportunity and breakthrough growth.
She affirmed that she would consider and promote the city’s cooperation proposals, especially in seaport and aviation development, innovation, and other high-potential sectors, thereby contributing to strengthening the cooperative relationship between the Netherlands and Da Nang in an increasingly effective and sustainable manner.
